The Call That It Was Time

I got the text letting know things might be starting, it wasn’t long before she texted again for me to come. I knew I had to hurry, called my assistant Emily, and we sped our way there. If you are a sheriff, this is just a manner of speaking ;)

Racing to Make the Birth

As I rounded the corner onto their road, I got a call from Dad calmly letting me know that baby would be there any moment. I squealed into the driveway, threw it in park with the van still running. I ran to the door and mustering all of my energy to shift to calm, gently opened the door, drank in the soft lighting, Dad holding her hands, mom breathing softly resting her head on the side of the pool.

A Quiet, Powerful Moment

Emily messaged she was 6 minutes out. I texted a quick “Hurry!” And as she came gently in the door this is the scene that met her eyes…. see the video here!

A Rare and Beautiful Arrival

It was such a beautiful gentle birth, with baby born in his amniotic sac, en caul, it broke just as he kicked free as he was born… if you look carefully you can see it still draped over him down to his shoulders. I went over and helped lift the “veil” over his sweet face just after this video ends. So much joy! Thank you to the parents for letting me share this beautiful moment in time!

Every birth has its own rhythm, its own challenges, and its own quiet moments of courage and love. At Heart Strings Birth Services, we believe birth is more than a medical event - it is a sacred unfolding, lovingly supported and deeply personal. These stories are shared with permission to honor the families who trusted us with their care and to encourage others as they walk their own birth journeys.
